1. Installing and Opening Powerpoint

Occasionally, there may be assignments that require recording voice over presentations in powerpoint. This will require that you have the local Office 365 Suite installed on your computer. Please consult this article regarding instructions with downloading and installing this software.

Once you have this software installed, you can open it by clicking on the icon for powerpoint that is visible on your dock or desktop. If you do not see this icon, you can use the search options availiable on your computer (Searchbar in the bottom left on a PC, and Spotlight search button in the top right of your screen on a mac).


2. Recording Voiceover

Once powerpoint is open, you can create/edit your slideshow as normal. When you are ready to record the presentation and voiceover, click on the record tab at the top.

Click on "From Beginning"

This will bring up a menu that manages the recording 

The red button is Start/stop record. The camera and microphone turn on/off your microphone and camera. The three dots allow you to manage input/output devices.

Once you are done recording. You can click on the export button to create a video file that you can upload as an assignment submission.
